Paul Joseph Vogeler

« Ma pratique est la matérialisation constante d’une réflexion sur l’expérience humaine et la mortalité. C’est une recherche permanente des symboles physiques qui révèlent un royaume spirituel éternel et reflètent le sentiment d’être humain : qu’il s’agisse du corps humain, des os et des artefacts, des paysages et des oiseaux aquatiques, de la sexualité et du Tarot, ou du catholicisme et des méditations sur l’isolement et la mort. Paul Joseph Vogeler est un artiste qui vit et travaille à New York. Il travaille principalement dans les domaines de la peinture, du dessin et de la gravure. Paul a étudié l’architecture et le design avant de terminer son BFA à la School of Visual Arts en 2009, et son MFA au Hunter College en 2021. Il a exposé à New York, Berlin, Zurich, Karlsruhe, Budapest, Detroit et Bogota. Il figure dans les collections du musée Berlinische Galerie, Berlin, et de l’Institut Bishopsgate, Londres et du Musée national de Rio de Janeiro. Il est l’auteur de Die Sterne Über Mir, un jeu de tarot créé à partir de 78 linoléums. tarot créé à partir de 78 blocs de linoléum qu’il a lui-même gravés.
