Kim Guiline (1936-2021), born in 1936 in Gowon, South Hamgyõng province, in what is now North Korea, graduated from Hankuk University in Seoul, studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and is a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure Arts-Décoratifs in Paris. He has lived and worked in Paris, France, since 1961.
Throughout his career, Kim Guiline has sought to explore the multiple dimensions of the surface of paint in order to bring out its depth.
Biography
Born in 1936 in Kowon County, South Hamgyeong Province (in present-day North Korea), died in 2021.
